Preparing Your Beach Body

With the summer swimsuit season fast approaching, you are probably focused on getting your best possible beach body ready to go! Of course, as always, this is easier said than done – to begin with, most of us get started too late, and then spend half of the summer trying to catch up. Additionally, however, most of us are perfectionists when it comes to our beach bodies, meaning that it can be tough to be completely pleased with how we look! However, don’t get discouraged – there is still some time before summer, and there are a number of ways to speed up the process of getting your beach body ready. Here are a few tips to help get you started.

o Get an early start on your tanning. For some, this can mean sprays and lotions, for others it means going to the tanning bed, but for some, it may simply mean going out on the back porch or on the roof! While you may not achieve the same pleasure from basking in the sun as you do during the summer, you can still get a bit of a pre-summer tan by laying out on sunny days during the spring, and this can give you a great head start.

o Consider highlighting or coloring your hair to a brighter shade more appropriate for the summer. Not only can this give you the beach look that you want, it can also keep the focus on your face, which gives you more time to work on getting your body in top shape.

o If you are looking for a more permanent change to your beach body, there is certainly no shame in considering plastic surgery. Whether it’s a facelift, a tummy tuck, breast implants, or any other sort of procedure, there are a number of ways to quickly and effectively (and subtly!) improve your body in advance of beach season, and all are worth considering if you want to make a change.

o Of course, you should also spend the time between now and the summer months focused on dieting and exercise, if you are not yet happy with your beach body. Try to avoid over-eating, eat healthy foods, and focus on exercises that keep your body fat down and keep your stomach and legs toned – with proper discipline, you can make a very noticeable change in even just a month’s time!

o Finally, it is also time to go shopping for your summer clothing and bikinis! Not only is this the most fun step in the process, but it can also be one of the most effective. With careful shopping, you can definitely find clothes that flatter you, and improve your beach image!

Ribbon Cutting for Aphrodisiac Ice Cream

Aphrodisiac Ice Cream is officially a part of the Chamber of Commerce for North Miami Beach.

On January 19th, 2012 we had our official ribbon cutting for Aphrodisiac Ice Cream. The Chamber of Commerce members attended along with the mayor George Vallejo at our event at Miller’s Ale House in North Miami Beach. The day was a success and we served up the tasty treats to the crowd that came to show their support.
